A/Professor Sharon Liberali

Assoc Prof Sharon Liberali is a specialist in special needs dentistry. She is the Director and Senior Consultant of the Special Needs Unit of the Adelaide Dental Hospital, an honorary Associate Dental Consultant at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and the program convenor for specialist training program in Special Needs Dentistry at the Adelaide Dental School. Sharon is also the Principal Dentist of Health Partners Dental, SA’s largest private dental practice, the past chair of the ADA Inc. Infection Control Committee, and is a member of Standards Australia committee HE-023 (instrument reprocessing).​

Professor Laurie Walsh AO

Laurie is a specialist in special needs dentistry who holds a personal chair in Dental Science at the University of Queensland. Laurie is the chair of the ADA’s Infection Control Committee, and is the editor of the second, third and fourth editions of the ADA  Guidelines for Infection Control and the 2015 Practical Guide to Infection Control. Laurie has served as an infection control consultant to a range of government and private sector organisations.

Ms Eithne Irving - ADA Deputy CEO & General Manager Policy

As the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Policy, Eithne has responsibility for a wide range of issues affecting the dental profession. With extensive experience in both clinical and regulatory environments, Eithne has unique access to government and regulatory bodies bureaucracy that ensures the ADA’s voice is heard at all levels. She represents the ADA on a number of external bodies where she is a knowledgeable and articulate advocate for the dental profession. 

Dr Peter Norton

Dr Norton graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2004 where he was admitted to the Dean’s List and received academic prizes in Prosthodontics and Dental Clinical Practice.

Peter currently divides his time between rural and metropolitan practices,  He is a regular host, interviewer and moderator for digital CPD events and is a clinical media advisor to the Australian Dental Association.
